ROCHESTER - Dorothy Foster Hamilton, 86, formerly of 18 Elderberry Lane, died Friday December 26, 2014 at the Rochester Manor after a period of failing health.

She was born Dec. 3, 1928 in Lewiston, Maine the daughter of the late Harry and Charlotte (Foster) Marsters. She had resided in Rochester for 37 years previously living in Portsmouth, N.H.

She was a homemaker and enjoyed crocheting and watching television.

The widow of Richard Hamilton and her first husband Filman Thompson, she is survived by her son, Robert Thompson of Fairbanks, Alaska; daughter, Sandy Aldridge of Delta Junction, Alaska, daughter-in-law, Susan Thompson of Lebanon, Maine; two grandchildren, Kate and Matt Thompson, both of Lebanon. She was predeceased by her son Richard Thompson in 2004.
