ROCHESTER - Dorothy Gloria Bernard, 90, of Four Rod Road died Friday Aug. 18, 2017 at home with her loving family by her side.
She was born Aug. 9, 1927 in Salem, Mass., the daughter of Albert and Emma (Lingren) Trask.
Dorothy has resided in Rochester for the past 16 years previously living in Sanford, Maine, and Arizona.
She worked at Beverly School for the Deaf as head chef. She was an independent woman who enjoyed painting homes and flower gardening. Dorothy, with her husband traveled cross country numerous years and visited all mainland 48 states.
The widow of Frank W. Bernard whom she married in 1946, she is survived by her son, Frank and his wife Eileen Bernard of Rochester. She also leaves three grandchildren, Kimberly Page, Debra Bernard, Andrea Bernard; three great grandchildren, Devon, Owen, and Hailey.
She was preceded in death by her son, William A. Bernard, and her siblings, Gladys E. Trask, Harold E. Trask, Robert C. Trask, Philip A. Trask, Calvin A. Trask, and Ralph N. Trask.
