ROCHESTER - Dorothy R. Wood, 91, died Monday, May 13, 2019 at Riverside Rest Home. She was born in Kearny, N.J., April 7, 1928, the daughter of Edward and Catherine (Osborne) Wood.
Dorothy received her bachelor's in science in nursing from Seton Hall University and her master's from Columbia University.
Dorothy served in the Army during the Korean War as a 1st Lt. with the 8225 MASH Unit. She worked at West Hudson Hospital and the Veteran Hospital in N.J. and the Veterans Hospital and Riverside Rest Home in N.H.
She is predeceased by a brother Richard and sister Joan. Survivors include a sister Kathleen Gee; nephew Robert Gee; niece Laurie Burovac and husband Mike; and great nephew Dylan Burovac.
Dorothy traveled many places in her younger days and was a volunteer at the library and the share shop. She was always there to support her niece and nephew in all their sporting events.
