DOVER - A Dover man has been arrested in the felonious sexual assault of boy that allegedly occurred over a 13-month period that only ended last month.

John Fenton, 66, of 56 Durham Road #53, Dover, was charged with aggravated felonious sexual assault after turning himself on Monday after learning police had obtained a warrant for his arrest.

The Dover Police Department began an investigation after receiving a report on Sept. 7, that Fenton had sexually assaulted the victim at Fenton's residence between June 2015 and August 2016. As a result of the investigation, detectives obtained an arrest warrant charging Fenton with engaging in a pattern of sexual assaults against the then 12-year-old victim who was known to Fenton.

Fenton turned himself in without incident.

He was released on $45,000.00 personal recognizance pending his arraignment in Strafford County Superior Court in December.
