Dover man found to have died from single stab wound

DURHAM, N.H. - The Dover man found dead on Friday at a Durham residence died as a result of a stab wound, the state's Medical Examiner's Office said on Sunday.

Safety officials say they are continuing to probe the circumstances in the death of Michael Barrett, 22, focusing on the possibility that self-defense may be involved.

Police were dispatched around 1 a.m. early Friday for a disturbance at 18 Edgewood Road where they found Barrett's body.

Authorities believe they have identified all of the parties involved in the incident and do not believe there is any imminent threat to the community.
