DOVER - Dover has been hit with its second heroin overdose death in 10 days.

The latest incident occurred around 7:20 a.m. on Saturday as Dover Police and Dover Fire and Rescue responded to the residence at 16 Second St. where they found an unresponsive man

Jerome Foglietta, 30, was declared dead at the scene.

While the cause and manner of Foglietta's death will ultimately be determined by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, at this time, based on observations made at the scene, it appears to be drug related.

If, in fact, Foglietta's death is due to a drug overdose, it will be the fourth confirmed in Dover in 2017, which had 12 suspected drug related deaths in 2016.

It was just a week ago today that friends of Kristopher Shinney of Dover were coming to grips with his death from an apparent overdose on April 9.

The Dover Police Department has responded to three nonfatal drug overdoses in 2017. This case is being investigated by the Dover Police Department's Special Investigations Bureau.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call the Dover Police Department at 603-742-4646. Anonymous tips may be called into the Dover Crimeline at 603-749-6000. The Dover Crimeline can also be contacted via www.dovernhcrimeline.org.
