ROCHESTER - A downtown parking ban will be in effect tonight from 11 p.m. till Thursday at 7 a.m. in the areas mentioned below.

Downtown
South Main from Lambert to North Main Street
North Main St. From South Main to Maple Street
Wakefield Street from South Main to Union Street
Portland Street from Columbus Ave to Charles Street
All of Union Street, Bridge Street, Hanson Street, Central Ave and Liberty Street, Granite St. Davyanne Locke Lane, and Charles from Congress St to Woodman St.
Downtown Gonic
Main Street from Colby Street to Pickering Road.
All of Colby Street
Church Street from Main Street to rear entrance to Gonic Mill
Railroad Avenue from Pickering Rd to the Gonic School

During this time no vehicle without an exemption permit may be parked on these city streets or in city parking lots.
