E. Rochester man hurt in motorcycle crash remains in serious condition

PORTSMOUTH - An East Rochester motorcyclist remains in serious condition today after his Harley Davidson crashed on Old Dover Road on Wednesday.

The crash occurred around 4 p.m. when police say Paul Mulcahy, 62, was riding his Harley Davidson Touring Motorcycle south, attempted to pass another vehicle headed south in the area of the Exit 11 off ramp and left the roadway.

Mulcahy's bike then continued on the shoulder until he struck a mailbox then a utility pole. He was transported to Portsmouth Regional Hospital where he remains listed in serious condition, hospital spokesperson Lyn Robbins said this afternoon. Mulcahy was not wearing a helmet.
