EAST ROCHESTER - The first year in any new business can be the hardest, but a co-owner of Henri's Smokehouse in East Rochester says they're doing great and "we're here to stay."

The premium beef retailer and deli is located in Shoreyville Plaza at the corner of Route 202 and Salmon Falls Road.

"Business is great," said co-owner William "Smitty" Smith, who owns the butcher shop with his dad, Billy Joe Smith.

William Smith said all of their beef is choice Angus or higher and all the sausages, bacon and deli salads (chicken, macaroni, potato, cole slaw) are made on premises.

He'll even take care of special requests like ground breakfast sausage or special smoking.

They also have hot and cold subs to order.

Henri's is billed as a butcher shop, deli and sandwich shop, but Smith's mantra is much simpler.

"We want to be like an old-fashioned butcher shop," Smith said. "We'll do whatever you want."
