DOVER - An East Rochester woman is facing up to 14 years in state prison after her indictment on drug charges resulting from an April traffic stop on Columbus Avenue.

Jamie Bonner, 38, of Portland Street, stands formally charged with possession of both meth and clonazepam, both Class B felonies.

A Rochester police officer conducted the stop near Kentucky Fried Chicken around 9:05 p.m. on April 23 when they saw Bonner dart onto Columbus Avenue from a side street amid heavy traffic in each direction.

During the traffic stop officers noticed that Bonner was in possession of an illegal drug believed to be meth.

The Strafford County grand jury indictments were handed down on Aug. 21 and released on Friday. They are the first indictments handed down since February due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

An indictment is not an indication of guilt, only that enough evidence has been presented to warrant moving forward to trial.
