ROCHESTER - Edward (Ed, Eddie) Charles Huntress died on the morning of May 30, 2022, in his sleep at home. He died from a long-fought battle with renal disease that ended with congestive heart failure.
He is predeceased by his stepmother, Hazel Huntress, whom he considered his mom and loved dearly. Edward is survived by his daughter, Xiena Huntress, 18 of Farmington, his son, Zaxon Huntress, 17 also of Farmington, his wife, Samantha Barratt of Rochester, his brother Harley Huntress and his fiancé Venessa Remington of Concord, a sister Crystal of New York and a brother Donald also of New York; his uncle Richard Silver and his wife Cara of Farmington, and an ex-wife, Patricia Doucette of Farmington as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Edward was born in Sharon, Conn., on Dec. 18, 1978. He enjoyed fishing, camping, hiking, talking with friends, debating politics, listening to music, watching movies with his kids, and spending time with his precious dog, Princess. Edward's favorite time of year was winter. He always enjoyed playing in the snow. Something he did right up until he physically couldn't anymore.
