The Franklin Gallery at RiverStones Custom Framing will host an exhibit during the month of May called "Ten Ladies and a Gentlemen."
There will be no opening reception due to RCF's concern for the safety of its visitors, but anyone may stop by and see the current exhibit during regular RCF business hours.
"Ten Ladies and a Gentlemen" is a multi-artist exhibit featuring the following local artists: Roseann Meserve, Gerry Bresnahan, Carol Poitras, Collete Fath Malerba, Gwen Morgan, Joanne Lewis-McCoy, Marie Benton, Masako Buck, Nancy Hunt, Patricia Francoeur, and Bob Goudreau.
These 11 artists from the Seacoast area, along with a few others, began meeting on Wednesdays several years ago, to create and surrender themselves to the artistic process.
"I love being a part of these diverse people's art lives," says Meserve, a Dover artist. "We gather together to encourage, support and enjoy each other's good company while we all create. Watching everyone's work evolve is an awesome experience and each week is an adventure."
When COVID arrived last year, these same artists continued to meet, but outside at Oyster River Landing, weather permitting and socially distanced, to continue supporting one another during this difficult time.
This exhibit features a wide variety of art mediums including watercolor, scratchboard, encaustic, acrylic, and oil, with each artist bringing their own personality and style into their art.
RiverStones Custom Framing and the Franklin Gallery are located at 33 N. Main Street in Rochester, and are open Wednesday through Friday, 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. and Saturday, 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. For information about this May exhibit and other RiverStones events and services, call Kris or Tom at 603-812-1488 or visit the RiverStones website or Facebook page.
