ROCHESTER - Evelyn McCarthy, 72, died on Sunday, July 24, 2016, at Wentworth Douglass Hospital following a period of failing health. Born June 17, 1944, in Sanford, Maine, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Freda (Nutter) Reed.
She had worked in assembly for both Clarostat and Thompson Center Arms.
Evelyn loved spending time with her family, her cat Sadie, listening to country music, and working on puzzles.
Members of her family include her children Brenda Mee of Rochester, N.H.; and Keith McCarthy and girlfriend Leslie of Rochester, N.H.; her siblings Russell Reed of Parsonsfield, Maine; Linda Porro of Alton; and Donald Reed of West Newfield, Maine; several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband William McCarthy.
