Family doubles reward money in hopes of finding answers on man's disappearance

AUGUSTA, Maine - State Police confirm that the reward has increased for information on a young man who disappeared from Biddeford in 1999.

The family of Angel Torres has increased the reward from $5,000 to $10,000 for information on the case.

Torres disappeared in Biddeford in May of 1999. The family announced the reward increase on Friday which would have been Torres' 38th birthday. The family first offered the $5,000 reward on the first anniversary of Torres' disappearance.

State Police have investigated the disappearance as a missing person case with suspected foul play. Anyone with new information is asked to call State Police in Gray at 1-800-228-0857.
