Farm Museum hosts Children's Days weekend

MILTON - The New Hampshire Farm Museum will celebrate Children's Days on Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m.-4 p.m.

The festivities will include farm stories, fairy houses, puppet shows and plays.

There will also be chicken tours, barn hunts and crafts.

Children will learn how to make butter and actually make some, plus there will be a blueberry pie eating contest.

They'll also be able to make ice cream and play old fashioned games, roll hoops, and try the sack races.

On Saturday Belgian Meadows Farm gives horse-drawn wagon rides and there will be a puppet show. Also on Saturday silhouette artist Leona Hosack will demonstrate and cut silhouettes of children or adults for a modest fee.

Entertainment on Sunday will include the UNH Little Red Wagon Theater performing, "The Princess, The Pauper & Other Stories" at 1 p.m.

Admission is $7 for adults, $4 for children 4-17.
