FARMINGTON - The Farmington man who torched a Camaro igniting a blaze that damaged a downtown Farmington building will spend at least two years in prison for arson after he pleaded guilty recently in Strafford County Superior Court.

Conrad Parent III, 33, of Elm Street, Farmington, was sentenced to 2-5 years in state prison as part of a capped plea deal worked out between prosecutors and a defense attorney.

Parent, who grew up in Rochester, set the Camaro ablaze around 4:45 p.m. on Dec. 17. The flames quickly spread to a three-story building at 480 Main St. that housed a Masonic Lodge.
The Camaro was parked on a side alley within a foot of the building allowing the fire to spread easily.
