Staff Reports

ROCHESTER - The cause of a two-alarm fire that destroyed a home at 35 Shaw Drive on Tuesday is still under investigation today.

A man who was home at the time of the fire was injured due to burns and smoke inhalation, but his condition and identity have not been released.

The two-alarm fire broke out around 10 a.m. and was initially reported as 35 Sheridan Road.

Firefighters had to call for tankers when no fire hydrant could be located except for one a half mile from the scene.

The fire appeared centered in the garage, whose roof ultimately collapsed.
