ROCHESTER - Friday the 13th actually turned out to be a pretty nice day.
Rochester residents came out of hibernation yesterday, washing their cars, walking their dogs and just hanging out outside following a withering three-week cold snap.
"I could take this weather anytime," said Anne Gagnon of Rochester, who was walking her dog Charlie, a three-year-old Pomeranian, out at the Common.
Over at the Shoreyville Plaza on Highland Street the bays at Soft Spra Car Wash were jammed as folks looked to scrape a month's worth of dirt, grime and road salt from their vehicles.
The arctic deep freeze that set in on Jan. 23 and saw temperatures and wind chills drop well below zero had finally come to an end.
Today's Valentine's Day and what's not to love, especially the weather with daily highs well into the 30s and 40s the rest of the month.
