ROCHESTER - Dozens of first responders received COVID-19 vaccines during the first couple days of operations at the state's vaccination site on Brock Street in Rochester this week.

Rochester Fire Chief Mark Klose received his vaccination on camera in order to boost public confidence and encourage the community to get vaccinated when it becomes widely available.

"I have no issues getting this vaccine," said Klose. "Nothing to be afraid of... It's a great thing for the State of New Hampshire, first responders, and the country."

Klose later described the process as "painless" and as a "proud moment."

The vaccination site is not yet open to the general public.
