Food pantry gets up to $10G match on donations through May

WAKEFIELD - Wakefield Food Pantry officials announced today they have been awarded a fund-raising matching grant from the Royal Little Family Foundation for up to $10,000 to cover additional expenses during a time of increased need amid the COVID-14 pandemic.

Howie Knight of the pantry said their weekly numbers are up 20 percent and growing.

Every dollar donated will be matched by the foundation up to $10,000. The match will continue the rest of April and all of May.

The money goes to fund the pantry and the Children's Food in Time program, which provides funding for low income families with children at home.
