ACTON - For the second time in three years former state senator and longtime Acton resident Richard Nass will moderate Lebanon's Public Hearing on the ballot.
While Lebanon residents do no voting next Saturday during the Public Hearing, it does give them a chance to advocate for their position on articles, Nass said today.
Nass, who represented the 2nd Senate District from 2002-2010, said he'll be using Maine Moderator Rules as a blueprint for handling the hearing.
"Everyone will get a chance to talk," he said.
He also said he expects town officials who are asked a question from the audience to do their best to answer it, at least in some fashion.
And while personal attacks won't be allowed, that doesn't mean residents can't say how they feel.
"They just can't be disruptive or harangue the audience," he said.
Lebanon's Public Hearing is set for 2 p.m. next Saturday, April 30, at the Lebanon Elementary School.
The Lebanon Voice Candidates Night follows on May 2 at LES at 6:30 p.m.
