DOVER - A pair of former Tonka Street residents have been indicted on drug charges including possession and trafficking of the deadly synthetic opioid fentanyl.

William Barrett, 42, and Jamie Stockford, 40, both with a last known address of 54 Tonka St., are alleged to have acted in concert when they sold a quantity of fentanyl in Rochester on July 24.

Barrett faces up to seven years on the charge, while Stockford could get 15 as she was previously convicted of a similar offense.

Stockford was also indicted on several other drug charges including trafficking of fentanyl and meth on July 22, trafficking of fentanyl and meth on July 30, trafficking of fentanyl and meth on Aug. 1, trafficking of meth on Aug. 7 and possession of meth and fentanyl on Aug. 12.

In all, Stockford's maximum prison time amounts to 134 years with maximum fines totaling more than $1.6 million.

The Strafford County grand jury indictments were handed down Nov. 14 and released to the public on Wednesday.

An indictment is not an indication of gullt, rather that enough evidence has been presented to a grand jury to warrant moving forward to trial.
