CONCORD, NH - The U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force chased down leads in two states leading to today's arrest of last week's "Fugitive of the Week."

Giovanni Angel Monroe, 35, who was last known to reside in Rochester, was wanted by Strafford County for conditional release violations.

Monroe was out on bail for numerous serious charges, including; armed robbery, criminal threatening, being a felon in possession of a dangerous weapon, and falsifying physical evidence, when he violated his conditions of release resulting in the issuance of an arrest warrant.

As part of the U.S. Marshals fugitive investigation, Monroe was featured as this past week's "Fugitive of the Week."

Monroe was captured as a result of tips that came in and interviews with many people, which led the task force to a possible location in Lynn, Mass.

Early this morning, members of the Marshals Fugitive Task Force in Massachusetts went to an apartment belonging to one of Monroe's relatives located in the 500 block of Washington Street in Lynn, where Monroe was located and arrested inside this apartment without incident. He was turned over to the Lynn Police, where he was charged as a fugitive from justice.

He is expected to be returned soon to Strafford County to face the outstanding warrants.
