ROCHESTER - The Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce, Rochester Economic Development Department and Rochester Main Street, working together with Rochester’s restaurants have launched “Munch Madness”, a Tournament of Restaurant Offerings that coincides with the annual NCAA basketball playoffs.

Each participating restaurant is offering a special item through April 7, and patrons are encouraged to go online and vote for their favorite restaurant.

The winning restaurant will receive a plaque and the title of 2014 Munch Madness Winner (complete with bragging rights for one year).

This promotion showcases the diversity of dining options in Rochester and encourages patrons to try different house specialties, although no purchase is necessary to cast your vote.

Special recognition goes to Profile Bank, Studley’s Flower Gardens and Mike Hagan’s Motorpool for underwriting radio advertising on radio stations 96.7 and 95.3 at Clear Channel Communications.

Voting began on Sunday, March 16. This week at press time, the leading four restaurants with the most votes are: (in no certain order) Bella Fresca, Granite Steak & Grille, The Farmer’s Kitchen, and Windjammers Seafood.
