LEBANON, Maine - State Police say four men, including two from Rochester, were arrested in Lebanon on Sunday after police say they broke into a vacant home to steal copper piping.

The Carl Broggi Highway house is bank owned due to foreclosure. Property managers were the first to report the burglary Sunday afternoon while the four men were at the property.

Two of the men were found inside, while one was hiding in a shed and the fourth was found in woods behind the house.

Two gave false names, and two were in possession of drug paraphernalia.

The copper piping had been removed from the property, and troopers said a TV, household items and furniture from the house had been placed in the garage, presumably ready to be removed.

The suspects made entry by breaking a rear door.

Most of the piping had been removed from the basement where water damage from cut pipes was evident. Damage to the house was estimated in the thousands of dollars.

Charged with burglary are Cody Mros, 32, South Berwick; William Kimball, 36, Lebanon; Shawn Sullivan, 48, Union, N.H., and Benjamin Foster, 35, from Rochester, N.H.

The four were taken to the York County Jail and were to appear for arraignment and bail hearings at Springvale District Court today.
