DOVER - A Franklin woman has been indicted in the break-in and domestic violence assault on a Rochester man last April.

Michelle Peters, 36, of Summit Street, Franklin, is accused of using a pocket knife to slash her boyfriend after she broke down a door to enter his residence. According to the charging documents, Peters cut him on both his left and right forearm, causing lacerations.

The alleged attacks occurred on April 29 in Rochester.

Peters faces up 14 years in prison on two felony assault charges and up to 15 years on the break-in charge.

The February 2024 indictments were handed down on Feb. 15 and released on Friday.

An indictment is not an indication of guilt, rather that enough evidence has been presented to move forward to trial.
