ROCHESTER - The Rochester Police are hosting a child car seat inspection Saturday at the Rochester Community Center.

The appointment-only event runs from noon-2 and can be scheduled by emailing Julie.A.Dietrich@hitchcock.org or calling Officer Michael Miehle at 330-7111.

The event is being run through a partnership between the Children's Hospital at Dartmouth-Hitchcock and the Rochester Police Department.

Road injuries are the leading cause of unintentional deaths to children in the United States. Correctly used child safety seats can reduce the risk of death by as much as 71 percent.
