DOVER, N.H. – The state’s Joint Fugitive Task Force on Saturday caught up with a Rochester man wanted on several outstanding warrants for theft and assault.
Justin Collier, 22, with a last-known address in Rochester, was wanted on several outstanding arrest warrants including a Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office warrant for probation violations related to an original conviction and sentence for burglary.
Other warrants included one out of Dover District court for three counts of simple assault, a Portsmouth (NH) District Court warrant for theft by unauthorized taking and a warrant out of Lebanon (NH) District Court for operating after suspension. Collier is also a suspect in additional burglaries in the Rochester area.
Tips from the public led to Collier’s arrest yesterday at an apartment complex on Abbey Lane in Dover. Investigators went to an apartment and located Collier hiding in a bathroom inside of the residence, where he was arrested without incident.
Collier was turned over to the Dover Police Department for processing on the outstanding arrest warrants and will be held at the Strafford County Jail without bail pending his initial court appearance on Monday.
Numerous members of the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force participated in this investigation including members from the N.H. Department of Correction – Probation and Parole Division, Strafford County Sheriff’s Office and the Dover Police Department.
