Garrison Players' 'Glass Menagerie' on tap at Rollinsford venue

ROLLINFORD - The Garrison Players Arts Center will present the Tennessee Williams classic "The Glass Menagerie" at its Rollinsford theater this weekend.

"The Glass Menagerie" is a memory play that first premiered in 1944. Centering on the memories of the narrator, Tom Wingfield, it explores the relationships between Tom, his mother, Amanda, his sister, Laura, and a gentleman caller whose presence at dinner one evening may change their lives forever.

It is a timeless story of family and the struggle to find a balance between personal fulfillment and familial duty. This production features Jen Decker as Amanda, Cody Barbin as Tom, Devon Padley as Laura, and Justin Demers as the Gentleman Caller. Scott Richardson makes his directorial debut.

Show times are as follows: Friday, Jan. 25 at 8 p.m., Saturday Jan. 26 at 8 p.m., Sunday Jan. 27 at 2 p.m., Friday Feb. 1 at 8 p.m., and Saturday Feb. 2 at 8 p.m.

Tickets are $18 for adults and $15 for students and can be purchased ahead of time on the Garrison Players website or at the door. The Garrison Players Arts Center is located at 449 Roberts Road, in Rollinsford.
