ROCHESTER - Gary Wilson Dolley died on Wednesday, April 22, 2015, when he lost his battle with Renal Cell Cancer.

Gary was born on October 20, 1938, in North Conway, N.H., the son of the late Edward Dolley and Alma Marean Dolley of Fryeburg, Maine. He grew up in Fryeburg and graduated from Fryeburg Academy, class of 1956. Following four years of service in the Navy, he spent much of his working life as a truck driver with more the 25 years of service with the NH-DPW. After his retirement in the early 1990s, Gary and his wife spent winters traveling throughout the country and wintering in southern climates. During those years, he enjoyed his summer employment as a greens keeper at the North Conway Country Club.

Gary is survived by his wife, Marcia Clemons Dolley of Rochester, N.H.; his son, Mark Dolley of Dover, N.H.; his daughters, Denise Barrington of Norwalk, Conn., and Sherry Roberts and her husband, Richard of Dover, N.H.; three grandchildren, Kirby Barrington of Chicago, IL; Jacob Barrington of Stamford, Conn.; and Christopher Roberts of Dover; his brothers, E. Brian Dolley and wife, Sandra of Ludlow, Mass.; Stanley Dolley and wife, Deborah of Scarborough, Maine; Glenn Dolley and wife, Kim of Morrow, Ga.; and several nieces and nephews.

His life was devoted to his family as well as to his passions: the Boston Red Sox; The Dolley family genealogy research; and as a traveler during his retirement years.
