Good news! Virus recovery rate at highest point since pandemic began

CONCORD - The recovery rate for Granite Staters who contracted the COVID-19 virus rose to its highest level since the state began releasing such data in March, the state's DHHS reported on Saturday.

The state first listed the virus recovery rate on March 31 just two weeks after Gov. Chris Sununu declared a state of emergency due to the pandemic. On that date it was listed at 15 percent. On Saturday the recovery rate was reported at 89 percent.

Meanwhile, DHHS announced 40 new positive test results for the virus, including two more among Strafford County residents. No new hospitalized cases or deaths were reported.

Locally, current numbers show Rochester with five active cases, Dover at eight, Somersworth, Barrington, Strafford and Farmington all with 1-4 and Milton with none.
