GSCS Christmas concerts slated for Dec. 16, 17

Celebrate the sounds of Christmas as Granite State Choral Society with Sandra Thomas, Music Director, brings the joy of Christmas to life with lively arrangements of new and well-known carols and seasonal favorites perfect for the winter season.

Performances will be held on Dec. 16 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, Dec. 17 at 4 p.m. at First United Methodist Church, 34 South Main Street, Rochester.

Granite State Choral Society is a non-auditioned community chorus dedicated to presenting quality choral performances, ranging in styles from classics to Broadway, and to promoting the appreciation of the choral arts.

The members come from all walks of life from ages 12 and up, and range from experienced singers to novices just discovering the joys of choral singing. The choir is comprised of residents from Rochester and surrounding towns.

Thomas (conductor, educator, clinician) has spent the past 38 years sharing her infectious passion for the musical arts with audiences, students, and collaborators of all ages, disciplines, and experience levels.
