Gunman struck by car after robbing Sanford store

SANFORD - A lone gunman wearing a knit mask with eyes cut out robbed a Sanford convenience store on Sunday.

The incident occurred around 4 p.m. at the Eastside Convenience store at 88 High Street.

While fleeing the scene the suspect was struck by a vehicle and lost a sneaker. He then got into a parked vehicle described as a white Ford 4-door car occupied by possibly two other people, one being a female, and fled the area.

The suspect was wearing a Boston Bruins black and gold sweatshirt, jeans and an orange knit hat pulled over his face.
