GONIC - Harriet Lachance, 74, died Thursday, June 12, 2014, at the Frisbie Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NH, after a period of failing health.

Harriet was born in the Bronx, N.Y., on April 13, 1940, the daughter of Isadore and Evelyn (Levine) Rotnofsky and had been living in Gonic for the past 36 years, moving from Rochester. Prior to her retirement she worked as a school bus driver for Laydlaw Transportation. She was predeceased by her parents and by her son Michael Freedman who died in 1995. She enjoyed knitting and spending time with her great-grandchildren and friends.

Surviving members of the family include: her husband Donald Lachance of Gonic; one daughter, Sherleen Searles of Rochester; one sister, Rozlyn Piegary of Newtown, CT; two brothers, Roy Rotnofsky of Millsboro, Del., and Gary Rotnofsky of Ware, Mass.; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
