CONCORD - The New Hampshire Senate Health and Human Services Committee today unanimously passed HB 1639 - FN, relative to "In and Out Medical Assistance."
A healthcare omnibus amendment was adopted by the committee. Senator Jeb Bradley, R-Wolfeboro, co-sponsor of the amendment, and Senator James Gray, R-Rochester, issued the following statement following its passage:
"The comprehensive piece of legislation passed by the Health and Human Services Committee will be critical in the state's fight against COVID-19 and the other healthcare concerns we face," said Bradley. "The committee prioritized bills that are time sensitive and the most impactful for the people of New Hampshire. I think we took a balanced approach and are passing legislation that every Granite Stater will benefit from."
"I am pleased the committee was able to work in bipartisan fashion to pass a healthcare bill we all support," Gray added. "As the state continues to reopen it is critical our healthcare providers have all the necessary resources to keep Granite Staters safe. I look forward to supporting this legislation next week when the Senate is in session and sending this bill to Governor Sununu for his signature."
