EAST ROCHESTER - Henry "Jerry" O'Neill Jr., 70, died Monday, August 11, 2014, at the Hyder Family Hospice House in Dover, after a period of failing health.

Jerry was born in Newton, Mass. on October 20, 1943, the son of Henry J. and Marguerite (Foran) O'Neill and had been living in The Rochester area for the past thirty-six years, moving from South Boston, Mass. Prior to his retirement he worked as a supervisor of housekeeping at Frisbie Memorial Hospital in Rochester, where he was their volunteer Santa and delivered gifts to the underprivileged as well. He was a Boston Bruin and Patriot fan, loved gardening and cooking. He was the widow of his spouse of forty years, MaryHelen (O'Malley) O'Neill who died in 2007 and also predeceased by a brother, James and a sister, Marguerite.

Surviving members of the family include: four sons, Brian O'Neill and his wife Crisann of Rochester, Robert O'Neill of Washington state, Jeffrey O'Neill and his wife Kathleen of Rochester and Corey O'Neill of East Rochester, one daughter, Annette O'Neill of East Rochester, a daughter-in-law, Juanita Fehrmann of Rochester, two brothers, John O'Neill of Florida and Michael O'Neill of Massachusetts, 3 sisters, Jean Rogers of Newton, Mass., Patricia Micaloonis of Mass., and Barbara O'Neill of Dorchester, Mass., nine grandchildren, two great-grandsons and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
