ROCHESTER - Rochester Police have impounded a truck registered to a Farmington address that they believe may have been involved in Tuesday evening’s hit-and-run on Route 11 near the Farmington line.
The victim, Bernard Cormier Jr., 44, of New Durham, was injured as he walked alongside the roadway around 6:45 p.m. across the street from Hagan’s Motor Pool.
Cormier’s condition was not available today at Maine Medical Center where he was Medflighted after the accident, but his injuries were described as nonlife-threatening on Tuesday.
Police had asked the public to be on the lookout for a dark-colored pickup truck with possible front-end, passenger-side damage, but would not confirm on Wednesday whether the vehicle seized had that type of damage.
Police also said a side-view mirror had been found near the accident scene, but Rochester Police Captain Paul Toussaint said today he couldn't comment on whether the suspect vehicle showed that specific damage.
