Huntington's disease Hope Walk set for June 10

CONCORD - The New Hampshire affiliate of the Huntington's Disease Society of America will host the New Hampshire Team Hope Walk on June 10 at 9 a.m. All proceeds support HDSA's mission to improve the lives of people affected by Huntington's disease and their families.
"HDSA provides invaluable and meaningful services to the Huntington's disease community," said Pam Meacham, Affiliate Co-Chair. "There have been so many advancements towards finding a cure, and it's more important than ever to continue this fight. At the HDSA, family is everything, and this family-centered event is the perfect opportunity to celebrate our HD Warriors, grow awareness, and raise funds to keep vital resources available and research moving forward."

In addition to hosting the Team Hope Walk the HDSA New Hampshire Affiliate has also raised awareness with the lights at the Memorial Bridge in Portsmouth being turned blue on Friday.

Team Hope is HDSA's largest national grassroots fund-raising event, which takes place in more than 100 cities across the U.S. and has raised more than $22 million for HD since its inception in 2007. Thousands of families, friends, co-workers, neighbors, and communities walk together each year to support HDSA's mission to improve the lives of people affected by HD and their families.
