MILTON - Milton Rec Director Karen Brown said despite the mild temps of late Milton Three Ponds is expected to be a go for Saturday's Ice Fishing Tournament, which is part of Milton's Winter Carnival.

"There's a lot of trucks out there and bobhouses," Brown said today. "And the ice is as thick as it's been in years."

Brown said officials will be checking the ice out a final time tomorrow, but she expects there will be no problem.

Temperatures are expected to fall back into the teens with a strong wind overnight.

Tomorrow's high should be in the mid-30s under mostly sunny skies.
