DOVER - Irene F. Lavoie, 89, died Saturday, August 20, 2016, at Belamy Fields Assisted Living in Dover, N.H., after a period of failing health. Irene was born in North Rochester, N.H., on July 7, 1927, the daughter of Joseph and Regina (Malhot) Gauthier and was a lifelong resident of Rochester, N.H.
She enjoyed working jigsaw puzzles and roller skating when she was younger. She was the widow of Roland Lavoie who died in 2009.
Surviving members of the family include: four sons, Raymond Lavoie of Pembroke, N.H., Reginald Lavoie of Alaska, Russell Lavoie of Portland, Maine, and Glenn Lavoie of Rochester, N.H., four daughters, Janet Henderson of Strafford, N.H., Linda Yeatas of Orange Park, Fla., Anita Norton of West Yarmouth, Mass., and Karen Lavoie of Rochester, N.H. She also leaves one brother, George Gauthier of Rochester, N.H., two sisters, Beatrice Corriveau of Rochester, N.H. and Virginia Silver of Dover, N.H., eight grandchildren, six great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
