MILTON - Irene Norma Gregoire, age 90, a longtime resident of Milton, died Saturday, September 9, 2017.
Born October 14, 1926 in Sanbornville, a daughter of Oscar and Doris (Pratt) Duchano, she was a graduate of Nute High School, Class of 1944 and worked for Sylvania during World War II. She married Adelard (Del) Gregoire and they were parishioners of St. Anthony's Church in Sanbornville. Irene had waitressed at the former Russo's Restaurant in Milton.
She enjoyed being with the Graniteers Drum and Bugle Corps for several years, traveling to President Kennedy's Inaugural Parade, to New York's World's Fair, Montreal's Expo and to parades and field competitions around New England. Irene and husband Del enjoyed traveling around this country, including Hawaii, also Canada and Switzerland. Irene was in Rome for the Canonization of Father Damien.
Also, she enjoyed crafting, bicycling, snowshoeing and cross country skiing.
Survived by her children Ronald and husband Bryan of San Franciso, Gerard and wife Gloria of Rochester, Jeanne and partner Harold of Hollis, Susanne of Port Charlotte, Fla. and Clare of Somersworth; grandchildren Karyann and husband Steve Kalway, Nick and wife Heather Bronson, Jeff and wife Sara Desharnais and Brian Gregoire; seven great-grandchildren; two brothers Robert Duchano of Wolfeboro, Donald and wife Betty of Melvin Village; a sister Theresa Glidden of New Durham; also many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her husband of 59 years Del, a brother Norman Duchano, a sister Beatrice Anderson and a grandson Tony Gregoire.
