ROCHESTER - Jean Baker Quinn, 80, went to Heaven Sunday, June 25, 2017 at the Gafney Home of Rochester. She was born May 5, 1937 in Wilmington, Mass., to Manning and Helen (Smith) Balcom.
Jean graduated from Wilmington High School Class of 1955. She married Wesley H. Baker in 1956 and moved to Dover, where they raised their three children. On April 2, 1985 Wes passed away from cancer age 47. Jean spent the next nine years help raising her grandchildren Lynsay, Corey and Annie Baker and Swayzie and Zachary Plante. On April 9, 1994 Jean married William F. Quinn. Jean loved walking, feeding the birds, housekeeping, cooking and baking.
Jean is survived by her children Jerry Baker and wife Colleen, Linda Hennessey and husband Don and Cheryl Kresco and husband Matt; also, Bills children and grandchildren, Bill Quinn and wife Janet (Keith and Kerri), Madeline Cashman and husband Brian (Emily and Patrick); her sister Avis Allard and her children Jean, Keith and Laurie.
Jean was predeceased by her brother John Balcom, her husbands Wesley Baker 1985 and William Quinn Sr. 2008 and her grandson Corey Wesley Baker 2016.
The family thanks the staff of the Gafney Home for their kindness and compassion through the past five years and the nurses from hospice care. Also a special thank you to Wayne and Dottie Wiggin for all the cards and prayers.
