ROCHESTER - Jeannette E. Piascik, 92, of Eastern Avenue, died Jan. 12, 2016, with family by her side, at the Studley Home where she had been a resident since 2013.
Born April 1, 1923 in Newmarket, She was the daughter of Rene & Rose (Filion) Levesque. She was a 1942 graduate of Newmarket High School and had worked as a government inspector at High Standard Arms Co. in Connecticut, during WWII. She married, started a family and moved back to Newmarket in 1945, and then moved to Somersworth in 1962.
Jeannette was a communicant of Holy Trinity Church in Somersworth and always ended her day by praying the Rosary. She loved children and caring for them. She decorated for and celebrated all Holidays and family birthdays. She enjoyed countless Sunday family dinners and pool parties with family and friends. She handmade beautiful pine cone wreaths for her children and knitted hats, mittens and scarfs for her grandchildren. She loved going to the beach, and was also a big Celtics and Red Sox fan.
She was predeceased by: her husband of 70 years, Francis Piascik Sr. who died in 2013, by her sister Irene Vidler, brother Roland Levesque, and niece Dorothy Vidler.
Jeannette is survived by: her three children, Sandra Rodrigues of Wis., Susan Piascik of NH, and Francis Piascik Jr. of ME; eight grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; two nephews, a niece and several great nieces, nephews and cousins. Jeannette is greatly loved and will be missed by all.
The family wishes to give a special thanks to the Studley Home staff, Cornerstone Hospice staff, Mother Angeline Ministries of Care, Dr. P. Berry, Dr. M. Parsons, and Father Mike.
