Lebanon fire crews respond to power line brush fire off Baker's Grant

LEBANON, Maine - A small brush fire broke out by the power lines on Baker's Grant Road on Thursday.

Few details were immediately available due to regular software maintenance being performed on Lebanon Fire and Rescue's computer network, but Chief Steve Merrill said today the fire was called in around 11:25 a.m. and fire crews cleared the scene around 2 p.m.

Merrill said no cause of the fire had been determined.

Maine Forest Ranger Matthew Bennett, who was at the scene, was not immediately available for comment.

Mutual aid was summoned to the scene, Merrill said.
