DOVER, N.H. - A Lebanon man is facing up to five years in state prison after his indictment as a habitual offender.
Arthur Lane, 34, of 23 Milton Mills Road, was arrested Feb. 27 while allegedly driving a motor vehicle on High Street in Somersworth after having been ordered by the state Director of Motor Vehicles to not do so in May 2007.
Being charged as a habitual offender is a felony and carries a maximum $4,000 fine, too.
The Strafford County grand jury indictments were handed down March 17 and released today.
An indictment is not an indication of guilt, only that a grand jury has found sufficient evidence to move forward to trial.
