Lebanon man indicted in Berwick theft case

Staff Reports

ALFRED, Maine - A Lebanon man was indicted this week on two charges of receiving stolen property in excess of $1,000, both felonies.

Robert A. Dumont, 43, of 54 Bigelow Road, is charged with two counts stemming from incidents that occurred on June 16 and June 27 of last year.

The incidents, both Class C felonies, occurred in Berwick.

Berwick Police did not return phone calls for comment.

A Class C felony could result in prison time of five years plus a $15,000 fine.

An indictment is not an indication of guilt, only that a grand jury has found sufficient evidence to warrant a trial.
