Lebanon selectman's race cranks up once again

Staff Reports

LEBANON - Richard “Chip” Harlow. Royce Heath and Corinna Cole have taken out nomination papers for selectman.

The three were among a field of five who earlier this month competed for the interim selectman’s slot vacated at the end of last year by Jason Cole.

That vote was held March 11 and won by political newcomer Paul Philbrick.

Robie Marsters also vied for the interim slot but it is not known whether they will try again in June.

Meanwhile, four new budget committee spots are up for grabs, with Tom Torno and Gilbert Gerrish both taking nomination papers out.

Also, there will be one school board slot to be filled on June 10.

In addition, selectmen are looking to appoint someone for the planning board to fill the spot previously held by Philbrick.
