ROCHESTER - Leo P. Cormier, 77, died Sunday, September 21, 2014, at his home after a period of failing health.

Leo was born in Dover, on May 5, 1937, the son of Raymond and Valea (Moisan) Cormier and had lived most of his life in Rochester. Before his retirement he was a co-owner and operator of Ma & Pa Cormier's Restaurant in Colebrook. He was a member of the Salmon Falols River Beagle Club in Lebanon, Maine, enjoyed cooking and gardening. His favorite joy was spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife Pauline (Lemoyne) Cormier, his brothers, Robert, Paul, Norman and Bernard, as well as a special friend Dorothy Giles.

Surviving members of the family include: three sons, Leo Cormier, Jr. and his wife Kim of Unity, Roland Cormier and his wife Cheri of Rochester, and Marc Cormier and his wife Dianna of Rochester, four daughters, Claire Cormier, Madeleine Caouette and Jeannette "Jae" Duntley and her husband Tim and Denise "Dee Dee" Arno and her husband Harold all of Rochester, ten grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren. He also leaves two brothers, Rene Cormier of Rochester, and Gary Cormier of Berwick, Maine, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
