Loads of good stuff at your fingertips when you download from the library

ROCHESTER - We love the downloadable service hoopla, which gives you access to a wide variety of items in addition to the collections the Library offers. May is a great time to try it out because you have a month to get extra downloads.

Brownie Troop Tidies Things Up

Thank you to Brownie Troop 59447 who spent Saturday, April 17th, cleaning up the Library grounds for Rochester Cares Clean Up Day. They did a great job and we want to thank them for choosing the Library as their clean-up site.

Friends of the Library Book Club

Reference librarian, Beth, shares "Have you been missing your book group? The Friends of the Library book group has returned to RPL! The group will meet the second Monday of each month at 1 p.m. out on the lawn. This group is open to the public and will meet outside monthly until it is possible to bring the group back inside the library. Please bring your own chair or we can provide one for you. The first meeting will be May 10th, and the book under discussion will be Homegoing by Yaa Gyasi. Books are available for curbside pickup by calling 603-332-1428 ex. 2.

If you have any questions, please give us a call or email us at RPLBookGroup@gmail.com. We hope to see you there!"

New Book Review Videos

Children's Librarian, Lisa, has two new On Our Shelves videos. In the one titled Adventure/Survival Children's Literature she discusses action adventure stories and tales of kids dealing with dangerous situations. In her Children's Graphic Novels video she recommends a selection of books some of which deal with challenges kids face in school and when best friends grow apart.
