SANFORD, Maine - A woman's body was found Wednesday in the Mousam River in Sanford.
The body was discovered by a passer-by who noticed the body floating in the river just south of Bridge #6184 on Emery Street, a bridge known locally as the Emery Street Bridge.
The person was identified as 50-year-old Lorilie A. Payeur of Sanford. At this time, the cause of death is undetermined and the incident has been referred to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Augusta. The death does not appear to be suspicious, police say.
